Meet Diego De Roose. He joined VINTIV as a project manager in March 2025. Diego brings 20 years of experience in automation to the table, which he enthusiastically puts to use for our clients. “We develop and build the type of machines, I used to only see at trade fairs.”

“In my previous job, we focused exclusively on series production in recent years. One type of machine for one specific sector. The concepts were fixed, so the assignments were not very creative.”

“My job as a project manager became all about ticking off the same checklists over and over again. Not my cup of tea. I wanted to go back to the machines of the years before: the custom projects. The fun stuff.”

One job interview with Timen and a tour of the premises later, Diego found what he was looking for.

“When I saw the machines being built in the workplace, I immediately knew: these are the projects that made me go into engineering. This is what I’ve always loved doing.”

“One of my first projects here made use of magnetic levitation technology. Floating carts. That’s technology you normally only see at trade fairs.”

“The machine itself contains super-fast movements with linear motors. And then there’s the combination of robots and classic automation techniques. It has everything you can possibly like about a machine.”

Two times lucky

“Before the takeover, my previous employer was a family business. Nice colleagues, a direct line with the manager. Positive vibe. I never thought I would find that again. Here, too, the atmosphere is very nice. No ego’s. And a young, ambitious management team with a lot of drive”, concludes Diego.

“I’m especially looking forward to seeing VINTIV Waregem grow. And who knows, maybe we’ll open our own workshop in the future…”
